The City, under the structure of the Disaster District Program, works in close cooperation with the Palos Verdes Estates Neighborhood Amateur Radio Team.  NART is a citizen group of volunteer amateur radio operators whose purpose is to provide communications during search and rescue and disaster mitigation efforts and until agency or county resources are provided to assist local response groups.  PVE-NART provides radio messaging among DDP posts, the City EOC and Mobile Command Post, the 911 call center and individual radio operators in field assignments.
