The five member Traffic Safety Committee serves as a public forum for traffic-related issues including placement of stop signs, traffic signals, road modifications, safety devices and posted speed limits. The Traffic Safety Committee meets on the 4^th Monday of each month.

The Traffic Safety Committee generally meets on the 4th Monday of every month at 7 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall, unless otherwise noted on the agenda. The most effective manner to communicate with the Traffic Safety Committee to send an e-mail message to Traffic@rpv.com by 5:30 pm on the Thursday before the scheduled meeting.  By doing this, the written comments will be included with the Staff Report (for agenda items) or with the agenda packet (for non-agenda items), which the TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE members receive before the scheduled meeting.  This provides the TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE with the opportunity to review the comments before the next meeting.  Written comments or e-mail messages submitted to the Department after 5:30 pm on Thursday before the meeting will be distributed to the TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE at the meeting.  All e-mail messages sent to the Traffic@rpv.com address are automatically forwarded to each TRAFFIC SAFETY COMMITTEE member’s private e-mail address at the time the message is received at the City.

The Traffic Safety Commitee holds evening meetings as required, generally every other month on the fourth Monday at 7:00 p.m. in the Community Room at City Hall.
