a Live Audience
and Simultaneously Livestreamed
at the Scheduled Concert Time
If this is your first time attending a Classical Crossroads concert, kindly request a reservation for yourself and your guests by emailing: [email protected] Click here
at the scheduled concert time to watch the livestream. With consent of the artists, the concerts may be made available for on-demand streaming from Classical Crossroads' Vimeo Showcase for about a month, beginning a few days following the concert. Classical Crossroads strives for the highest possible video and audio quality with a simple, audience-member’s-view (but with the best seat in the house!) that won’t distract from the artistry of the performances. To appreciate the livestreamed concerts, you are encouraged to set aside time as you would for a live-audience concert, get comfortable, and watch on a large-screen TV with a high-quality soundbar. Alternatively, watch on an iPad or other quality computer screen with headphones. Click here to sign up above for e-mail concert reminders. |

Second Sundays at Two The Second Sundays at Two concert series, graciously hosted as a gift to the community by Rolling Hills United Methodist Church, sprang to life in January 2009. Word spread on the classical music scene, and the series now draws leading artists from Southern California and around the world. Click to see the |

Youth Outreach ConcertsClassical Crossroads has resurrected its youth outreach concerts after a Covid hiatus. With the help of NEA funding, it is producing six outreach concerts over two years for youths in underserved areas of Southern California — in partnership with two leading music-education nonprofits: Global Arts in the Pico Union district west of downtown and The Santa Cecilia Arts & Learning Center north of downtown. The outreach concerts are also presented and videotaped at First Lutheran Church & School in Torrance, where they can be watched in other underserved areas via on-demand streaming. Two outstanding ensembles from Classical Crossroads’ recent
and current seasons have been engaged: The Syrinx Reed Quintet
and The Fiato String Quartet. |

THE MISSION OF CLASSICAL CROSSROADS, Inc. is to support the great art of classical music by presenting inspired performances of chamber music concerts of the highest possible artistic quality. The concerts are free and welcoming to all, regardless of race, ethnicity, religion, socioeconomic strata, sexual orientation, and age. They provide a meeting place where performing artists and diverse community members share their appreciation of classical music. For those unable to attend in person — for myriad reasons including advanced age, physical or mental challenges, illness, transportation, and geographical location — Classical Crossroads provides access by simultaneously live-streaming the concerts, striving for the highest possible audio and video quality with a simple, audience-member's view that doesn't distract from the artistry of the performances. In addition, Classical Crossroads advances diversity and inclusiveness in classical music with outreach concerts for youths in underserved areas to inspire lifelong involvement. | ||
Financial SupportClassical Crossroads' admission-free concerts are funded primarily by annual season contributions from individuals and at-the-door donations, supplemented by grants from the LA County Department of Arts & Culture, the California Arts Council, and the National Endowment for the Arts. Classical Crossroads, Inc. is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit — EIN 46-3353268. |

Sunsetting
of Classical Crossroads' Talented rising artists from around the world selected at the Beverly Hills National Auditions were presented monthly on Saturday afternoons in the South Bay on The Interludes concert series at First Lutheran Church & School. These concerts were also presented on Friday evenings on the Music By The Sea recital series in Encinitas, California, and they continue to be presented on Beverly Hills' Music In The Mansion recital series in Greystone Mansion. During the Covid pandemic, plans for the Beverly Hills TV Department to videotape these concerts at Greystone Mansion and premiere them on BHTV proved infeasible because of artist travel restrictions. Classical Crossroads' Board made the difficult decision to sunset The Interludes series. However, as a member of the Consortium of Southern California Chamber Music Presenters, Classical Crossroads' continues to draw artists and ensembles from winners of the Beverly Hills National Auditions for its Classical Interludes and Second Sundays at Two series.
