CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included two residential burglaries, two attempted residential
burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, one grand theft, one petty theft
and six acts of vandalism.
ARRESTS
Drunk Driving - 2 Vehicle Laws - 3
December 8
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person (s) unknown stole a mirror and
clothing from a car in the 6000 block of Groveoak Place. There was no
sign of forced entry.
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person (s) unknown stole a manual from a
car on Mustang Road. Entry was gained by slashing
the convertible top.
Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person (s) unknown broke a
window of a home in the 26800 block of Fond Du Lac Road in an attempt
to enter.
December 9
Attempted Residential Burglary (daytime) - Two male suspects attempted
to push open the garage door of a home in the 26500 block of Rockhurst
Lane. An audible alarm was set off and the suspects fled in a black
Toyota pickup.
December 12
Residential Burglary - The victim reported that between November 30 and
December 12, 1996, numerous credit cards were stolen from his home in
the 5200 block of Sunnypoint Place by person (s) unknown. Entry was
gained by forcing open a window.
December 14
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between November 29 and
December 13, 1996, numerous pieces of jewelry were stolen from her home
in the 5600 block of Sunmist Drive. There was no
sign of forced entry.
Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person (s) unknown stole jewelry
form a home in the 26900 block of Indian Peak Road. There was no sign
of forced entry.
