CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included five residential burglaries, two attempted residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, three other structure burglaries, one felonious assault, one grand theft, auto, two attempted grand thefts, auto, one grand theft and one act of vandalism.

November 10

Attempted Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown attempted to gain entry to a residence in the 28400 block of Coveridge Drive by prying the locking mechanism of a sliding glass door.

November 11

Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown attempted to open a garage door in the 1100 block of Bloomwood Road.

A truck parked in the driveway obstructed the garage door's upward movement.

Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Two male suspects were arrested during a vehicle stop at Crest Road and Lucania Drive. Several items which had been taken in three separate residential burglaries were found in the car.

Other Structure Burglary (nighttime) - A compact disc changer was stolen from a vehicle parked in a detached garage on Avenida Corona by person(s) unknown. There was no sign of forced entry.

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - Person (s) unknown damaged the steering column of a car in the 1200 block of Bloomwood Drive in the attempt to steal the vehicle.

Other Structure Burglary (nighttime) - A garage door opener was stolen from a car parked in a detached garage in the 3500 block of Bendigo Drive by person(s) unknown. There was no sign of forced entry.

November 12

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Silverware, jewelry, and stereo equipment were stolen from a residence in the 3500 block of Bendigo Drive by suspect(s) unknown. Entry was made through a bathroom window.

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto - Person (s) unknown damaged the steering column and stole a cellular phone in an attempt to steal a car in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.

November 14

Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1992 Jeep was stolen from a parking lot in the 2800 block of Palos Verdes Drive West.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A golf bag and clubs were stolen from an open garage in the 6800 block of Verde Ridge Road by person(s) unknown.

Residential Burglary - Person (s) unknown broke a window and entered a

garage on Seacove Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

November 15

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a computer and printer from a residence on Surrey Lane.

Other Structure Burglary (nighttime)- The victim reported that in October, 1996, person (s) unknown stole a golf bag and clubs from her detached garage in the 5900 block of Flambeau Road.

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered a residence in the

2500 block of Sunnyside Ridge Road and stole a television set and a VCR. There was no sign of forced entry.

November 16

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested for punching a male victim on the head and face in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person (s) unknown smashed a window of a car parked in the 32200 block of Forestall Drive and stole a cellular phone and a purse.
