CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included four residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, two other structure burglaries, one grand theft, auto, one attempted grand theft, auto, three grand thefts, three petty thefts and eight acts of vandalism.

October 27

Other Structure Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a compressor, two wet suits, a watch and binoculars from an open garage and unlocked vehicle in the 26900 block of Grayslake Drive.

October 28

Grand Theft - The victim reported that between January and May of 1996,

person(s) unknown numerous pieces of jewelry from her residence in the 28100 block of Ridgepoint Court.

Grand Theft, Auto - The victim reported that between October 12 and October 28, 1996 person (s) unknown stole his 1980 Recreational vehicle.

October 29

Grand Theft (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a sign belonging to the City of Rancho Palos Verdes Drive in the 3800 block of Palos Verdes Drive East.

Residential Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a cellular phone and a pair of sunglasses from a vehicle parked in a garage in the

30100 block of Avenida De Calma. There was no sign of forced entry.

October 30

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (daytime)- A male suspect attempted to steal a car in the 2100 block MacArthur Street. The steering column was damaged in the attempt. The suspect fled in an awaiting dark red vehicle.

Grand Theft (daytime)- A purse containing personal items was stolen from a female victim while at a school in the 6000 block of Groveoak Place.

October 31

Residential Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a cellular phone and car adapter from a car in a garage in the 3100 block of Crownview Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a purse and items of clothing from a car in the 1600 block of Surrey Lane. Entry was gained by breaking a window.

November 1

Other Structure Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a cellular phone from an unlocked car in an open garage in the 27000

block of Menominee Place.

November 2

Residential Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown entered a garage in the 29000 block of Golden Meadow Drive and went through the cabinets. There was no sign of forced entry and nothing was taken.

Residential Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a toolbox from a garage in the 5600 block of Mistridge Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

mail at the curb and promptly remove mail from mailboxes.
