CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included one commercial burglary, four residential burglaries, one
attempted residential burglary, two vehicle burglaries, one other
structure burglary, three petty thefts and two
acts of vandalism.
ARRESTS

September 29
Commercial Burglary (nighttime)- Two male suspects pried open the front
door of a business in the 28300 block of Western Avenue and stole a
cash register. The suspects then fled in a white
Toyota pickup.
September 30
Residential Burglary (daytime)- A camera, clothing and a VCR were
stolen from a home in the 27800 block of Montereina Drive. Entry was
gained by removing a screen and opening an unlocked
window.
October 1
Other Structure Burglary (daytime)- Person (s) unknown cut the lock
hasp and entered a storage shed on Clipper Road. Nothing appeared to
have been taken.
October 2
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole car stereo
faceplate from a car in the 32600 block Nantasket Drive. Entry was
gained by shattering a window.
Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime)- A male suspect attempted to
enter a home through an open sliding glass door in the 6500 block of
Via Baron. The suspect was scared off by the resident.
October 4
Residential burglary (daytime)- Person (s) unknown stole dinnerware,
antiques, and jewelry from a home in the 28300 block of Plainfield
Drive. Entry was gained by prying the door on the
attached garage.
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime)- A car stereo and two sets of golf clubs
were stolen from a car in the 2100 block of Crestwood Drive. Entry was
gained by shattering a window.
October 5
Residential burglary (daytime)- Person (s) unknown stole two handguns
from a home in the 27800 block of Longhill Drive. There was no sign of
forced entry.
Residential burglary (daytime)- Person (s) unknown stole a bicycle from
an open garage in the 1300 block of Mt. Rainier Road.
