CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included one residential burglary, three vehicle burglaries, one other
structure burglary, two grand thefts, auto, one grand theft, four
petty thefts and two acts of vandalism.

September 16
Residential Burglary - The victims reported that between June 28 and
September 13, 1996, person (s) unknown stole clothing and jewelry from
their home in the 3300 block Crownview Drive. There was no sign of
forced entry.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime)- Person (s) unknown stole U.S. currency from
a car in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive. Entry was gained by
smashing a window.
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime)- Three male suspects in a gray Nissan
smashed the window of one car and forced open the window of a pickup in
the 3200 block of Paseo Del Mar. It was unknown at the time of this
report if anything was taken.
September 17
Other Structure Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a
toolbox from an unlocked garage in the 26500 block
of Basswood Avenue.
September 19
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime)- A 1985 Buick Century was stolen from the
1200 block of Bloomwood Road.
September 20
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole an antenna from
the floorboard of a car in the 32800 block Seagate Drive. Entry was
gained by prying the door handle.
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime)- Person (s) unknown stole a 1991 GMC
Jimmy from the 7200 block of Rue La Fleur.
September 21
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between June 10 and July 11,
1996, person (s) unknown stole camera equipment from the unlocked trunk
of his vehicle in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.
