CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes

included one residential burglary, one school burglary, one petty

theft and two acts of vandalism.

August 7

School Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole a VCR from a school office in

the 6200 block of Via Canada. There was no sign of forced entry.

August 10

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry and U.S.

currency from an apartment in the 28700 block of Peacock Ridge Road.

There was no sign of forced entry.

Mail theft continues to be a problem. Be cautious when placing

mail at the curb and promptly remove mail from mailboxes.

Keep a watchful eye for strangers in the neighborhood and call

the sheriff's office upon suspicion. Know your Neighborhood
