CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included two armed robberies, one residential burglary, one vehicle
burglary, one other structure burglary, one felonious assault, two grand
thefts, auto, one grand theft, three petty thefts, one theft of U.S.
mail, and two acts of vandalism.

July 2
Vehicle Burglary - A stereo system and various other items were stolen
from a car parked in a driveway in the 4200 block of Stalwart Drive by
person(s) unknown. There was no indication of forced
entry.
July 4
Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole a parrot from a
residence in the 2000 block of General Street. There was no sign of
forced entry.
Felonious Assault - A male suspect was arrested for assaulting a male
victim with a roller-blade type skate at the intersection of Hawthorne
Boulevard and Granvia Altamira.
Armed Robbery - A female restaurant employee was held at knife-point by
a male suspect in the 28300 block of Western Avenue. The suspect took
U.S. currency from the cash register.
July 5
Armed Robbery - A male suspect held a female restaurant cashier at
knife-point as he stole U.S. currency from the cash register in the
29000 block of Western Avenue.
July 6
Grand Theft, Auto - A 1968 Volkswagon was stolen from a driveway in the
6400 block of Via Colinita.
July 7
Grand Theft - A valuable ring was stolen from a home in the 2000 block
of Velez Drive by person(s) unknown. There was no sign of forced
entry.
Grand Theft, Auto - A 1995 BMW was stolen from the driveway of a
residence in the 29400 block of Stonecrest Road.
Other Structure Burglary - Person(s) unknown took various items from a
tool chest located in a garage in the 5800 block of Finecrest Drive.
There was no sign of forced entry.
