CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included one armed robbery, one residential burglary, one vehicle
burglary, one felonious assault, one grand theft, auto, two grand
thefts, two petty thefts, two thefts of U.S. Mail, one act of arson,
and one act of vandalism.
ARRESTS

June 9
Vehicle Burglary - Person(s) unknown broke the left rear window of a
car parked in a garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road and
stole stereo equipment.
June 12
Grand Theft - Tires and gasoline were stolen from a truck parked in
the street in the 2000 block of Dorado Drive by person(s)
unknown.
Armed Robbery - A female victim and her children returned to her home
in the 3000 block of Crownview Drive and found a masked suspect, who
was armed with a shotgun, in the house. The victim was tied up, but
managed to wiggle loose and call 911. When deputies arrived, the
victim was able to run out of the house. The suspect later surrendered
and the children were unharmed.
Vehicle Arson - An explosive device was used to blow up a car in the
6400 block of Seacove Drive. Two suspects were subsequently arrested
in connection with this incident.
June 13
Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered a residence in the
28100 block of Montereina Drive through an unsecured window and stole
a safe, a computer, and U.S. currency.
June 15
Grand Theft, Auto - A 1989 Chevrolet was stolen from the street in the
1900 block of Jaybrook Drive.
Felonious Assault - Numerous male suspects assaulted several male
victims and vandalized several vehicles at a party in the 6500 block of
Sea Cove Drive.
June 16
Grand Theft - Person(s) unknown stole two mountain bicycles which were
locked together from a carport in the 5600 block
of Ravenspur Drive.
