CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included one carjacking, one armed robbery, nine vehicle burglaries,
one grand theft, three petty thefts, and six acts
of vandalism.
ARRESTS
Narcotics Laws - 1
May 21
Grand Theft - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a residence on
Vanderlip Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Carjacking - A female suspect stole a 1996 Audi at gunpoint as the
owner was returning to her home in the 1200 block of Bloomwood Road. A
male accomplice drove in tandem with the suspect as they fled eastboun
on Bloomwood Road.
May 22
Vehicle Burglary - A garage door opener was stolen from a car parked in
a subterranean garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive by person(s)
unknown. Two windows were broken in the burglary.
May 23
Vehicle Burglary - Person(s) unknown broke a window of a car parked in
an underground parking lot in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive. A
car radio and tape player were stolen.
Vehicle Burglary - A car radio and tape player were stolen by person(s)
unknown from a car in a parking structure in the 28100 block of Peacock
Ridge Drive. The passenger's side window was broken
in the burglary.
Vehicle Burglary - Unknown suspect(s) broke the rear window of a
vehicle in a parking garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road
and stole a flashlight.
Vehicle Burglary - A cellular phone, U.S. currency and coins were
stolen by person(s) unknown from a vehicle in a parking garage in the
28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road. Entry was gained by cutting a hole
in the convertible's top.
Vehicle Burglary - Unknown suspect(s) broke the passenger window of a
vehicle in a parking garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road
and stole a car stereo.
Armed Robbery - A male suspect held employees at gunpoint as he
demanded and received U.S. currency from a bank in the 30000 block of
Hawthorne Boulevard.
May 24
Vehicle Burglary - Unknown suspect(s) broke the passenger window of a
vehicle parked in a parking garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge
Road and stole a cellular telephone.
Vehicle Burglary - A cellular phone was stolen by person(s) unknown
from a car parked in the street on Paseo del Mar. The right rear
passenger window was smashed in the burglary.

curb and promptly remove mail from mailboxes. Keep a watchful eye for
strangers in the neighborhood and call the sheriff's office upon suspicion

have Gail Lorenzen or your local person contact you.
