CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the city of Rancho Palos Verdes

included eight residential burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, one

attempted vehicle burglary, one other structure burglary, one grand

theft, auto, one grand theft, four petty thefts, one theft of U.S.

mail, and four acts of vandalism.

ARRESTS

Narcotics Laws - 2

April 22

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered and ransacked a town

house on Hilltop Circle. A front window had been shattered to gain

entry.

Other Structure Burglary - A boy's bicycle was stolen from a garage in

the 26200 block of Birchfield Avenue by person(s) unknown. There was

no sign of forced entry.

April 23

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered a residence in the

6900 block of Starstone Drive and stole electronic equipment. The

suspect(s) had kicked in the front door to gain entry.

Residential Burglary - A computer system, a camera and a VCR were

stolen from a residence in the 28300 block of San Nicolas Drive by

unknown suspect(s). Entry was gained by breaking a living room

window.

April 24

Attempted Vehicle Burglary - A male suspect was seen attempting to

enter a car parked in the driveway of a residence in the 3400 block of

Seaglen Drive. The suspect ran to a small red car and headed southbound

at a high rate of speed.

Residential Burglary - A golf bag containing clubs and shoes was stolen

from an unlocked garage in the 29600 block of Bernice Drive by

person(s) unknown.

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole a woman's bicycle from

an open garage in the 26700 block of Shadow Wood Drive.

April 25

Residential Burglary - Unknown suspect(s) broke a window to gain

entrance to a residence in the 5900 block of Ironwood Street. A video

camera and VCR were stolen.

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole a VCR from a residence

in the 6800 block of Kings Harbor Drive. Entry was gained by

shattering a kitchen window.

April 26

Grand Theft, Auto - A 1984 Honda Accord was stolen from 28700 block of

Mt. Rose Road.

Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered and ransacked an

apartment in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive. A VCR was taken in the

burglary.

April 28

Grand Theft - Two tires and rims were stolen from a car parked in a

parking garage in the 6500 block of Beachview Drive by person(s)

unknown.

Vehicle Burglary - A cellular phone was stolen from a locked car parked

in the 3200 block of Paseo Del Mar. Person(s) unknown entered the car

by breaking the right rear window of the car.

Vehicle Burglary - A stereo and speakers were stolen from a car parked

in the parking lot at Abalone Cove by person(s) unknown. The passenger

window was broken by the suspect(s).

Mail theft continues to be a problem. Be cautious when placing mail at the

curb and promptly remove mail from mailboxes. Keep a watchful eye for

strangers in the neighborhood and call the sheriff's office upon suspicion.
