CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one commercial burglary, two residential
burglaries, one vehicle burglary, three grand thefts, auto,
one attempted grand theft, auto, one grand theft, one act of
arson, and one act of vandalism.
ARRESTS

December 7
Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a cellular
phone and a pair of sunglasses from an unlocked vehicle in a
carport in the 6700 block of Los Verdes Drive.
December 8
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke the
screen off a garage door and stole U.S. currency and
electronic equipment from a home in the 30400 block of Calle
La Resolana.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke the
window of a car parked in a driveway in the 26800 block of
Basswood Avenue and stole a woman's purse and a pair of
sunglasses.
Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - Person(s) unknown
damaged the steering column of a vehicle, in an attempt to
steal it from the 5600 block of Ravenspur Drive.
December 9
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1995 Lexus LS300 was stolen
from the 3700 block of Hightide Drive.
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1986 Chevrolet van was
stolen from the 1900 block of Redondela Drive.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window of a home in the 6900 block of Vallon Drive and stole
U.S. currency.
Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Two male suspects stole
beer from a market in the 30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.
The suspects ran from the store and drove away in a white
pickup.
December 11
Arson (evening) - Person(s) unknown used gasoline to start a
fire in the backyard of a home in the 5300 block of Bayridge
Road.
December 12
Grand Theft, Auto (daytime) - A 1998 Harley Davidson
motorcycle was stolen from a parking structure in the 32600
block of Nantasket Drive.
