CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included three residential burglaries, one school

burglary, four vehicle burglaries, one other structure

burglary, one grand theft, auto, one attempted grand theft,

auto, one grand theft, one attempted grand theft, one

petty theft, and six acts of vandalism.

 

 

ARRESTS

 

Vehicle Laws - 1 Drunk Driving - 1

Theft - 1 Grand Theft, Auto - 1

 

 

November 2

 

Residential burglary - Person(s) unknown broke a window and

vandalized the interior of a home in the 28400 Block of

Pontevedra Drive.

 

November 3

 

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

damaged a steering column in an attempt to steal a car in the

1400 block of Caddington Drive. A backpack was stolen from

the car also.

 

Residential Burglary (morning) - Person(s) unknown pried a

window open and entered a home on Peppertree Drive. It was

unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.

 

November 4

 

School Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a copy

machine and a telephone from an office at a school in the

6200 block of Via Canada Drive. There was no sign of forced

entry.

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a word

processor, a phone, and a microscope from a locked vehicle in

an underground garage in the 29600 block of Island View

drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a

bicycle and golf equipment from an open garage in the 28600

block of Mount Palomar Drive.

 

November 5

 

Grand Theft - The victim reported that between November, 1996

and November, 1997, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a

home on Narcissa Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

November 6

 

Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested

while driving a stolen vehicle in the 29600 block of Island

View Drive.

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window

of a car in the 26900 block Silver Spur Road and stole

clothing.

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke the

window of a vehicle in the 26900 block of Silver Spur Road

and stole a car stereo system.

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke the

window of a vehicle in the 26900 block of Silver Spur Road

and stole a radar detector.

 

Attempted Grand Theft (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested

while attempting to cash a forged check in a bank in the

28300 block of Western Avenue.

 

November 7

 

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

stole a bicycle from a garage in the 28600 block of

Friarstone Court. There was no sign of forced entry.
