Weekly Activity Report, September 28 - October 4, 1997

 

 

CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included twelve residential burglaries, one vehicle

burglary, one felonious assault, two grand thefts, auto, one

grand theft, and five acts of vandalism.

 

 

ARRESTS

 

Vehicle Laws - 3 Narcotics Laws - 1

 

 

September 28

 

Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1991 Honda Accord was

stolen from a parking lot in the 29600 block of Western

Avenue.

 

October 1

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole video games, jewelry, and a CD player from a

home in the 6800 block of Eddinghill Drive.

 

Residential Burglary - The victim reported that between

September 1 and September 30, 1997, Person(s) unknown stole a

painting from her residence in the 29600 block of Western

Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 7100 block of Camino Pequeno, ransacked the

house, and stole numerous items. Entry was made through an

upstairs window after removing a screen.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 7100 block of Camino Pequeno, ransacked the

house, and stole numerous items. Entry was made through a

window after removing a screen.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 7100 block of Camino Pequeno, ransacked the

house, and stole a laptop computer and jewelry. Entry was

made through an upstairs window after removing a screen.

 

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 28200 block of Covecrest Drive and stole numerous

items. Entry was made through an upstairs window after

removing a screen.

 

October 2

 

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

two bicycles from the garage of a home in the 28200 block of

Montereina Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried in

a lock and entered a garage of a home in the 27800 block of

Palos Verdes Drive East. It was unknown at the time of this

report if anything was stolen.

 

Grand Theft - The victim reported that in September, 1997,

person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 28000

block of Ridgebrook Court. There was no sign of

forced entry.

 

October 3

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 27100 block of Woodbrook Road and stole a VCR and

jewelry. Entry was made through a window after removing a

screen.

 

Residential Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 28000 block of Santona Drive through an open

window. It was unknown at the time of this report if

anything was stolen.

 

October 4

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

townhome in the 28700 block of Tollhouse Court and stole

numerous items. Entry was made through a window after

removing a screen.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Four male subjects entered a

townhome in the 28700 block of Tollhouse Court and stole

numerous items. Entry was made through a window.

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a ladies' purse from a vehicle in the 2100

block of Santa Rena Drive.

 

Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1992 Ford truck was stolen

from a driveway in the 2100 block of Ronsard Road.

 

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - Two male victims were stabbed

with an unknown object during a fight at a party in the 30100

block of Cartier Drive.
