CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included two vehicle burglaries, one other structure

burglary, four grand thefts, and three acts of vandalism.

August 31

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window

to gain entry to a car in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.

Nothing appeared to have been taken.

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window

to gain entry to a car in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.

Nothing appeared to have been taken.

 

Grand Theft - Person(s) unknown stole pottery and painting

supplies from a vacant lot at Cinnamon Lane and Thyme Place.

 

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole electronic

equipment from an apartment in the 6500 block of Beachview

Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

September 2

 

Other Structure Burglary - The victim reported that between

August 24 and August 31, 1997, person(s) unknown stole a

bicycle from an subterranean garage in the 28100 block of

Peacock Ridge Road.

 

September 3

 

Grand Theft - The victim reported that numerous items of

jewelry were stolen from her apartment in the 29600 block of

Western Avenue, by person(s) unknown. There was no sign of

forced entry.

 

September 4

 

Grand Theft - The victim reported that on July 26, 1997, a

camcorder was stolen from her home in the 3400 block of

Deluna Drive by person(s) unknown. There was no sign of

forced entry.
