CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one commercial burglary, one vehicle

burglary, one attempted vehicle burglary, one grand theft,

auto, three petty thefts, and five acts of vandalism.

 

ARRESTS

 

Vehicle Laws - 3 Drunk Driving - 2

Burglary - 1 Narcotics Laws - 1

July 20

Attempted Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Two male suspects

attempted to force the door handle of a car in a parking

structure in the 29600 block of Island View Drive. The

suspects were scared off when another resident walked through

the structure.

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window of a car in a parking structure in the 29600 block of

Island View Drive and stole a jacket.

Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1997 Mitsubishi Diamonte

was stolen from a driveway in the 7200 block of Berryhill

Drive.

July 25

Commercial Burglary (daytime) - Two male suspects entered a

business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue and stole U.S.

currency from the purse of an employee. Both suspects ran

from the store and one of the suspects was caught a short

distance away by a security guard.
