Weekly Activity Report, June 15 - June 21, 1997

CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included three residential burglaries, two vehicle

burglaries, two other structure burglaries, one grand theft,

auto, three grand thefts, one petty theft, and three acts of

vandalism.

ARRESTS

Burglary - 1 Drunk Driving - 1

June 15

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole golf

equipment from a bag rack at the golf course in the 7000

block of Los Verdes Drive.

June 16

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced

open the door of a garage in the 1800 block of Caddington

Drive and slashed the tires of a vehicle inside.

Grand Theft - the victim reported that numerous items of

silverware were stolen from her residence in the 6400 block

of Parklynn Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

June 17

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A cellular phone was stolen

from on top of the trunk of a car in an open garage in the

29500 block of Whitley Collins Drive.

Residential Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect was

arrested after being seen attempting to burglarize an open

garage in the 27600 block of Tarrasa Drive.

June 18

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a

briefcase from a locked vehicle in the 3700 block of

Falconhead Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

pried the door of a storage compartment in a garage in the

32600 block of Seagate Drive. A rifle, a computer modem, and

suitcases were taken.

June 19

Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1995 Lincoln Towncar was

stolen from the 29500 block of Enrose Avenue.

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

entered an unlocked garage and stole a cellular phone from an

unlocked vehicle in the 6600 block of Via De Anzar.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

collectable cards and a video game from a locked vehicle in

the 1500 block of Toscanini Drive. There was no sign of

forced entry.

June 20

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole gardening

equipment from the bed of a pickup parked on the street in

the 6400 block of Chartres Drive.
