CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one attempted residential burglary, three

vehicle burglaries, one attempted other structure burglary,

one felonious assault, one grand theft, auto, two attempted

grand thefts, auto, three grand thefts, and one act of

vandalism.

May 25

Grand Theft (overnight) - A radio and water skis were stolen

from a boat in the 3600 block of Greve Drive by person(s)

unknown.

Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s)

unknown pried a window in an attempt to gain entry to a home

on Rockinghorse Road.

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

broke the windshield while attempting to remove the locking

theft device on a steering wheel of a car in the 5700 block

of Whitecliff Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window of a car in the 6000 block of Montemalaga Drive and

stole a cellular phone and a camera.

May 26

Vehicle Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown shattered the

window of a car in the 28500 block of Western Avenue and

stole a car stereo and CD's.

May 27

Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1988 Toyota Corolla was

stolen from a driveway in the 30100 block of Via Borica.

was possibly gained through a bedroom window.

Vehicle Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole the owner's manual

and registration from a car in the 32600 block of Nantasket

Drive. Entry was gained by breaking a window.

May 28

Grand Theft (daytime) - A cellular phone was stolen from a

car while it was being serviced at a at a business in the

29500 block of Western Avenue. There was no sign of forced

entry.

Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (daytime) - Person(s) unknown

broke a window and damaged the ignition of a car in the 6000

block of Mossbank Drive in an attempt to steal the vehicle.

Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male suspect attempted to run

over a female victim while she was jogging on a sidewalk at

Crenshaw Boulevard and Indian Peak Road.

May 29

Attempted Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s)

unknown cut two padlocks and bent an air vent in an attempt

to enter a storage locker at Abalone Cove.

May 30

Grand Theft (daytime) - Camera equipment was stolen from the

front lawn of a home in the 32400 block of Nautilus Drive by

person(s) unknown.
