CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included three residential burglaries, one attempted
residential burglary, one other structure burglary, four
grand thefts, auto, one petty theft, and two acts of
vandalism.

May 18
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1991 Chevrolet Blazer was
stolen from the 1600 block of Toscanini Drive.
May 19
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - Three suspects were arrested
for riding in a stolen car at Hawthorne Boulevard and
Shorewood Drive.
Attempted Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown pried a
door lock in an attempt to enter a home in the 6900 block of
Vallon Drive.
May 20
Residential Burglary - The victim reported that numerous
items of jewelry were stolen from her home on Avenida Corona,
between April 28 and May 11, 1997, by person(s) unknown.
Entry was possibly gained through a bedroom window.
May 21
Residential Burglary - The victim reported that numerous
items of jewelry were stolen from her home on Avenida Corona,
between May 8 and May 11, 1997, by person(s) unknown. Entry
was possibly gained through a bedroom window.
May 22
Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown stole two watches, a
CD player and foreign currency from an apartment in the 5700
block of Ravenspur Drive. There was no sign of forced
entry.
Grand Theft, Auto (daytime) - A 1988 Buick Skylark was stolen
from the 26500 block of Mazur Drive.
May 23
Grand Theft, Auto - A male suspect was arrested for riding in
a stolen car in the 3500 block of Seaglen Drive. Three other
suspects escaped the area on foot.
May 24
Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown
stole a surfboard and golf equipment from a detached garage
in the 1800 block of Caddington Drive. Entry was apparently
gained by forcing the door open.
