CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included one bank robbery, one residential burglary, one attempted
residential burglary, one school burglary, seven vehicle burglaries,
one felonious assault, one grand theft, auto, one petty theft, and
three acts of vandalism.

March 9
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown smashed a window to
gain entry to a car in a parking garage in the 29600 block of Western
Avenue. The glove compartment was ransacked.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - A window of a truck in a parking garage
in the 29600 block of Western Avenue was pried open to gain entry by
person(s) unknown. The glove compartment was ransacked.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window to gain
entry to a car in a parking garage in the 29600 block of Western
Avenue. The glove compartment was ransacked.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - A car stereo was stolen and the glove
compartment ransacked by person(s) unknown in a parking garage in the
29600 block of South Western Avenue. There was no sign of forced
entry.
Residential Burglary - A VCR and a shotgun were stolen from a residence
in the 2000 block of Redondela Drive by person(s) unknown. Entry was
gained by shattering a sliding glass window.
March 10
School Burglary - Person(s) unknown pried open a window to enter a
classroom of a school in the 30500 block of Lucania Drive. A computer,
a printer and electronic equipment were stolen.
March 11
Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime)- Person(s) unknown removed
a window screen in an attempt to enter a residence in the 6200 block of
Via Canada.
Grand Theft, Auto - A 1992 Mazda Miata was stolen from the street in
the 1700 block of Huntsman Court.
March 14
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Leather jackets and a violin were stolen
from a van in the 28600 block of Roan Road. The windows were smashed
to gain entry.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Unknown suspect(s) broke a window to gain
entry to a car in the 26900 block of Silver Spur Road. A car stereo
and cellular phone were stolen.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window and
disabled the alarm of a pickup truck in the 26900 block of Silver Spur
Road. A compact disc player and discs were stolen.
Bank Robbery (daytime) - A male suspect gave a teller a note demanding
U.S. currency at a bank in the 29000 block of Western Avenue. The
suspect was last seen running across the parking
lot and out of view.
March 15
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - Two male suspects, using fists and a
steel pipe, assaulted a male victim at his home in the 5900 block of
Armaga Spring Road.
