CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included eight residential burglaries, two school burglaries, four
vehicle burglaries, one other structure burglary, three grand thefts,-
auto, six grand thefts, two petty thefts, and
six acts of vandalism.

February 23
Grand Theft (overnight) - Cellular phones, a camera, and a car radio
were stolen from two unlocked cars in a garage in the 5700 block of
Ravenspur Drive by person(s) unknown.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a residence
in the 28600 block of Vista Madera and stole a cellular phone and other
personal items. There was no sign of forced entry.
February 24
Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Portable radios and terrariums
were stolen from a church in the 6400 block of Palos Verdes Drive South
by person(s) unknown. There were no signs of forced
entry.
Grand Theft - Person(s) unknown entered a residence in the 27800 block
of Palos Verdes Drive East and stole a box containing perfumes. There
were no signs of forced entry.
February 25
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1990 Buick was stolen from a garage
in the 32700 block of Sea Gate Drive.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Two male suspects were seen by a
female victim as they entered a residence in the 2000 block of Galerita
Drive after having pried open and damaged double front doors. The
suspects fled when observed by the victim.
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A Ford pickup truck was stolen from a
backyard in the 29100 block of Highmore Avenue.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Jewelry was stolen from a residence in
the 26500 block of Deepbrook Drive by person(s) unknown. Entry was
gained by prying open a sliding glass door.
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1987 Chevrolet was stolen from a
driveway in the 1800 block of Avenida Estudiante.
February 26
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a CD from a
locked car in a garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road. There
were no signs of forced entry.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - A residence in the 32300 block of
Conqueror Drive was ransacked and jewelry stolen by person(s) unknown.
There were no signs of forced entry.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a residence
in the 2800 block of Via El Miro and stole jewelry while ransacking the
home. There were no signs of forced entry.
Grand Theft (daytime) - A computer was stolen from a stockroom in the
30000 block of Hawthorne Boulevard by person(s) unknown.
Grand Theft - Vacuum cleaners were stolen from a vacant house in the
28300 block of Cayuse Lane by person(s) unknown.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - A window latch was broken to afford
entry to a residence in the 30100 block of Avenida Celestial by
person(s) unknown. A list of stolen items was not
available.
February 27
School Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a television set
from a classroom at a school in the 6200 block of Via Canada. The
classroom door was shattered and splintered to gain
entrance.
Grand Theft - Emblems and other auto equipment were stolen from a car
in a garage in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown shattered a bathroom
window to gain entry to a residence in the 4000 block of Palos Verdes
Drive West. Jewelry, fur coats, and U.S. currency
were stolen.
February 28
Grand Theft - Jewelry, men's clothing, U.S. currency, and other items
were stolen from a house in the 26700 block of Shadow Wood Drive by
person(s) unknown. There were no signs of forced
entry.
March 1
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - A window was shattered to gain entry to
a car parked in a driveway in the 6500 block of Via Colinita. A
cellular phone was stolen.
School Burglary - A telephone and an answering machine were stolen from
a preschool in the 6000 block of Palos Verdes Drive South by person(s)
unknown. A sliding garage door was pried open to
gain entry.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - A rock was thrown through a window to gain
access to a car parked in a parking lot in the 29400 block of Western
Avenue. A briefcase containing U.S. currency and other items was
stolen.
Residential Burglary - Items of jewelry were stolen from a residence in
the 5400 block of Manitowac Drive by person(s) unknown. There were no
signs of forced entry.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - A stereo and a cellular phone and cable
TV equipment were stolen from a locked truck parked in a garage in the
28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road. There were no signs of forced
entry.
