CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes
included three residential burglaries, one attempted residential
burglary, two vehicle burglaries, four grand thefts, auto, two
attempted grand thefts, auto, three grand thefts, two petty thefts, and
two acts of vandalism.

February 2
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1987 Toyota was stolen from a
driveway in the 4900 block of Blackhorse Road.
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1987 Toyota was stolen from the
street in the 29100 block of Warwick Road.
Attempted Grand Theft, Auto - The ignition core of a car parked in the
street in the 5200 block of Silver Arrow Drive was broken in an attempt
to steal the vehicle.
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1989 Toyota was stolen from the
street in the 6200 block of Moongate Drive.
February 3
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Jewelry and U.S. currency were stolen
from a residence in the 30000 block of Cachan Place by person(s)
unknown. Entry was gained by breaking a window.
February 4
Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of
a car in an underground garage in the 28100 block of Highridge Road and
stole a cellular telephone.
Vehicle Burglary - Person(s) unknown entered a car parked in an
underground garage in the 28100 block of Highridge Road and stole
personal items. There was no sign of forced entry.
February 5
Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A window was broken to gain
access to a car in a parking stall in the 6700 block of Los Verdes
Drive. The steering column was punched in the attempt.
Grand Theft (nighttime) - Unknown suspect(s) stole numerous items from
a residence in the 1600 block of Caddington Drive.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Several pieces of jewelry were stolen
from a residence in the 26900 block of Springcreek Road by person(s)
unknown. Entry was gained through a rear sliding
glass window.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Window screens and a sliding door
frames were damaged by person(s) unknown to gain entry to a house in
the 30800 block of Ganado Drive. Apparently, nothing
was stolen.
February 7
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - - A 1996 Pontiac was stolen from the
street in the 28600 block of Mt. Rushmore Road.
Grand Theft - U.S. currency and stamps were stolen from an office in
the 4000 block of Miraleste Drive by person(s) unknown.
February 8
Attempted Residential Burglary - Person(s) unknown attempted to gain
entry to a residence in the 26800 block of Grayslake Road by prying
open a window frame.
Grand Theft - Silverware, jewelry, and other items were stolen from a
residence in the 29300 block of Quailwood Drive. There were no signs
of forced entry.
