CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one residential burglary, nine vehicle burglaries, one felonious assault, three grand theft autos, one grand theft, one petty theft, and five acts of vandalism.

ARRESTS

Drunk Driving - 1; Vehicle Laws - 1; Drunk - 1; Grand Theft - 1; Vehicle Burglary - 1

December 27

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a parking garage in the 32700 block of Coast Site Drive. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a parking garage in the 32700 block of Coast Site Drive and attempted to steal the car stereo.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a parking garage in the 32800 block of Seagate Drive and stole car stereo equipment.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a parking garage in the 32800 block of Seagate Drive. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a carport in the 32600 block of Coast Site Drive. Nothing was reported stolen.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Two male suspects were arrested after a short

pursuit on Palos Verdes Drive South after burglarizing a car in a carport in the 32700 block of Coast Site Drive

Items from several other burglaries were recovered during the arrest.

December 28

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in a parking lot in the 31300 block of Palos Verdes Drive South and stole numerous items.

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1987 Honda Prelude was stolen from a

parking lot in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1991 Mitsubishi 3000 GTSL was stolen from

the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.

December 30

Grand Theft - A female employee was arrested for stealing U.S. currency from

a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue, between the dates of October 11th - December 27th, 1998.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A female suspect, armed with a knife, threatened a male victim during an altercation in a driveway in the 29300 block of Indian Valley Road.

December 31

Residential Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of December

26th and December 30th, person(s) unknown pried open the kitchen window of a home in the 5300 block of Bayridge Road. Nothing appeared to have been stolen.

January 1

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1992 Toyota Camry was stolen from a

driveway in the 2100 block of Summerland Street.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in the 2900 block of Vista Del Mar and stole a purse.

January 2

Vehicle Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of December 26th

- January 2nd, person(s) unknown forced open the window of a car in a parking garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Road and stole numerous items.
