CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one commercial burglary, one residential burglary, one school burglary, four vehicle burglaries, one felonious assault, one grand theft auto, three petty thefts, one mail theft and one act of vandalism.

ARRESTS

Drunk Driving - 1; Narcotics Laws - 1; Weapons Laws - 1

 

December 20

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1992 Honda Accord was stolen from a

driveway in the 6000 of Flambeau Road.

December 21

Commercial Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of December

16th and December 17th, person(s) unknown stole car buffing machines from a locked storage room of a business in the 27700 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. There was no sign of forced entry.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items

from a car in the garage of a home in the 6400 block of Mendon Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

December 23

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried open the door of a

car in the driveway in the 6400 block of Via De Anzar and stole numerous items.

 

December 24

Felonious Assault (morning) - Person(s) unknown drove by and shot a male

victim in the ankle while he was skateboarding at the corner of Toscanini Drive and Western Avenue.

December 25

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a

locked car in a driveway in the 6500 block of Sattes Drive. There were no signs of forced entry.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in the 3200 block of De Luna Drive and stole a purse.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car

in the 6200 block of Via Colinita and stole numerous items.

December 26

School Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of December 24th

and December 26th, person(s) unknown forced open a boarded up window of a school in the 28000 block of Montereina Drive and vandalized a classroom. It is unknown if anything was stolen.
