CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included
two residential
burglaries, one other structure burglary, one felonious assault, two grand
thefts auto, four grand
thefts, two petty thefts, one theft of U.S. mail, and one act of vandalism.
ARRESTS
Vehicle Laws - 6
October 5
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window arm and
ransacked
numerous rooms of a home in the 29100 block of Indian Valley Road. It was
unknown at the
time of this report if anything was stolen.
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between September 25th and October
4th, person(s) stole
computer equipment from a home in the 7000 block of Cherty Drive. There was
no sign of
forced entry.
October 7
Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between the dates of September
30th and October
7th, person(s) unknown and stole jewelry from a condominium in the 28100
block of Highridge
Road. There was no sign of forced entry.
Other Structure Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a bicycle from
an unlocked garage
of a home in the 2800 block of Calle Aventura.
Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male victim was punched in the face by a
male suspect as he sat
in a car on Avenida Elegante.
October 8
Grand Theft (morning) - Person(s) unknown stole golf equipment from a stand
at the golf course
in the 7000 block of Los Verdes Drive.
Grand Theft (morning) - The victim reported that between September 1st and
October 7th,
person(s) stole a ladies coat and jewelry from a home in the 5300 block of
Valley View Road.
There was no sign of forced entry.
Grand Theft Auto - A 1979 Ford pickup was stolen from the 27800 block of
Palos Verdes Drive
East between the dates of September 25th and October 8th.
October 10
Grand Theft (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a tire and lug nuts from a
car in the 30100
block of Cartier Drive.
Grand Theft Auto (overnight) - A 1982 Honda Prelude was stolen from the 6600
block of Via
Canada.
