CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one strong armed robbery, three commercial burglaries, two residential burglaries, one felonious assault, two grand thefts auto, one attempted grand theft auto, one grand theft, one theft of U.S. mail, and two acts of vandalism.

September 27

 

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect distracted an employee as

another male suspect attempted to take a computer from an office in the 28900 block of Western Avenue. Both suspects fled without the computer.

 

September 28

 

Attempted Grand Theft Auto (morning) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and

damaged the steering column of a car in a parking lot in the 31200 block of Palos Verdes Drive West in an attempt to steal it.

 

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect ran his car into a victim's

car in the 29100 block of Palos Verdes Drive East. Both the suspect and victim exited their cars. The suspect punched and kicked the victim and then fled the scene.

 

September 29

 

Commercial Burglary - A victim reported that between the dates of September

27th and September 29th, person(s) unknown entered a store in the 29100 block of Western Avenue and stole numerous items. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

September 29

 

Residential Burglary (morning) - Person(s) unknown entered a home in the 26400 block of Ashfork Place and stole a C.D. player and numerous C.D.'s. Entry was gained by forcing open a sliding glass door.

 

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after stealing

U.S. currency from a cash box of a business in the 29100 block of Western Avenue.

 

September 30

 

Grand Theft Auto (daytime) - A 1994 Toyota pickup was stolen from the 32200

block of Schooner Drive.

 

October 1

 

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a tile saw from the bed of a

truck parked in the 29100 block of Golden Meadow Drive.

 

October 2

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a sliding glass

door of a home in the 6600 block of Locklenna Lane and stole numerous items.

 

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1985 Oldsmobile Cutlas was stolen from a

sub-garage in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive.

 

October 3

 

Strong-Armed Robbery (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after he used

physical force to steal U.S. currency from two victims in the 28900 block of North Bay Road.
