CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included

one strong-armed

robbery, four residential burglaries, one attempted residential burglary,

three vehicle burglaries,

one other structure burglary, three grand thefts auto, seven grand thefts,

one petty theft, and two

mail thefts.

 

ARRESTS

 

Vehicle Laws - 1

 

 

August 23

 

Grand Theft Auto (nighttime) - A 1989 Jeep Cherokee was stolen from the

28500 block of

Mount Palomar Place.

 

August 24

 

Grand Theft Auto (overnight) - A 1993 Jeep Wrangler was stolen from an

underground garage in

the 6600 block of Beachview Drive.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced open a window and

stole U.S.

currency and a watch from a home in the 5600 block of Ravenspur Drive.

 

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a bicycle and it's lock from

an underground

garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

 

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced open the

door to a tool shed

and stole numerous items from a church in the 6400 block of Palos Verdes

Drive South.

 

August 25

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced open a window and

stole numerous

items from a home in the 28700 block of Covecrest Drive.

 

Strong-Armed Robbery (nighttime) - A male suspect punched a male victim

while another male

suspect stole a scale from a business in the 29100 block of Western Avenue.

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced open a window of a

car in the 1900

block of Redondela Drive and stole numerous items.

 

August 26

 

Grand Theft - A victim reports that between the days of August 15th and

August 26th, person(s)

unknown dug up and stole sprinklers from the center divider in the 5600

block of Montemalaga

Drive.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown attempted to

enter a home in

the 2100 block of Rockinghorse Road through a window but set off the alarm

and fled the scene.

 

Grand Theft Auto (daytime) - A 1991 G.M.C. Suburban was stolen from the

29400 block of

Bayend Drive.

 

August 27

 

Grand Theft (nighttime) - A female suspect stole numerous items from a home

in the 30400

block of Cartier Drive. There were no signs of forced entry.

 

Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown pried open a window and

stole numerous

tools from a home on Narcissa Drive.

 

August 28

 

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a

briefcase from a

car in the 4100 block of Dauntless Drive.

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a car window and

stole numerous items

from a car in the 29400 block of Whitley Collins Drive.

 

Grand Theft - A victim reports that between the days of August 16th and

August 24th, person(s)

unknown stole a computer from a home in the 3100 block of Crownview Drive.

There was no

sign of forced entry.

 

August 28

 

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown dug up and stole a tree from the

front yard of a

home in the 6200 block of Monero Drive.

 

Residential Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of July 1st

and August 20th,

person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a home in the 5600 block of Sunmist

Drive. There was no

sign of forced entry.

 

August 29

 

Grand Theft - A victim reports that between the dates of July 31st and

August 28th, person(s)

unknown stole jewelry and U.S. currency from a home in the 28400 block of

Covecrest Drive.

There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Grand Theft - A victim reports that between the dates of August 24th and

August 29th, person(s)

unknown stole a handgun from a home on Fig Tree Road. There was no sign of

forced entry.
