CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one commercial burglary, four residential
burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, one other structure
burglary, two felonious assaults, one grand theft, auto, two
grand thefts, two petty thefts, and nine acts of vandalism.
ARRESTS
Vehicle Laws - 4 Felonious Assault - 1
July 19
Commercial Burglary (morning) - A male suspect broke a window
and stole numerous items from a business in the 29600 block
of Western Avenue.
July 21
Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole
U.S. currency from an unlocked car in the driveway in the
2000 block of Galerita Drive. Suspects used remote door
opener and ransacked the garage.
Residential Burglary - (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced
open a window and stole a C.D. player and cigarettes from a
car in the driveway in the 2000 block of Galerita Drive. The
suspects used a remote opener to access the garage.
Other Structure Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced
open a garage door in the 1200 block of Mount Rainier Road.
Nothing appeared to have been taken.
Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole
U.S. currency and blank checks from a home in the 2200 block
of Sparta Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
July 22
Felonious Assault (daytime) - A male suspect in a green car,
purposely collided with a male victim on a motorcycle while
driving in the 27600 block of Hawthorne Boulevard.
Grand Theft (overnight) - Suspect(s) unknown stole numerous
items from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 1800 block of
Jaybrook Drive.
July 23
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Suspect(s) unknown broke a
window and stole a briefcase from a car in a driveway in the
2400 block of Rue Le Charlene.
Grand Theft (overnight) - Suspect(s) unknown stole laptop
computer from an unlocked car in a driveway in the 28300
block of Pontevedra Drive.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested
after striking a male victim on the head with a metal object
in the 6900 block of Hedgewood Drive.
July 24
Residential Burglary (overnight) - Suspect(s) unknown broke a
window and ransacked the inside of a home in the 26700 block
of Nokomis Road. It was unknown if anything was stolen at
the time of this report.
July 25
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window and stole numerous items from a car in the 2000 block
of Santa Rena Drive.
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1985 Audi 4000 was stolen
from the 2100 block of Toscanni Drive.
