CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one residential burglary, four vehicle

burglaries, one grand theft, auto, three grand thefts, one

act of arson, and four acts of vandalism.

 

ARRESTS

Vehicle Laws - 1 Drunk Driving - 1

 

June 30

Arson (daytime) - Person(s) unknown set a roll of paper

towels on fire and burned a wall of a room of a building in

the 6800 block of Los Verdes Drive.

July 2

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window screen, climbed in a window, and ransacked numerous

rooms of a home in the 27800 block of Montereina Drive. It

was unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.

July 6

Grand Theft (daytime) - The victim reported that on June 26,

1998, person(s) unknown stole his golf bag from outside the

clubhouse at the golf course in the 7000 block of Los Verdes

Drive.

July 10

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole the wheels

and tires of a vehicle in a driveway in the 29100 block of

Oceanridge Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a cellular phone from a car in a driveway in

the 2000 block of Summerland Street.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a car stereo system from a vehicle in a

driveway in the 2000 block of Summerland Street.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a car stereo from a car in the 2000 block of

Summerland Street.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a car stereo and jewelry from a car in the

2100 block of Caddington Drive.

July 11

Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1993 Isuzu Rodeo was stolen

from a driveway in the 31200 block of Floweridge Drive

Grand Theft - The victim reported that between July 5 and

July 11, 1998, person(s) unknown stole a handgun from his

unlocked car in a driveway in the 2100 block of Trudie Drive.
