CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included three residential burglaries, four vehicle
burglaries, one felonious assault, one grand theft, auto, and
two grand thefts.
ARRESTS
Vehicle Laws - 4 Felonious Assault - 1 Theft - 1
May 11
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1990 Nissan pickup was
stolen from the 1900 block of Delasonde Drive.
May 13
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forcibly
opened the camper shell of a vehicle in the 30100 block of
Avenida Celestial and stole a toolbox.
Residential Burglary - The victim reported that between March
and April, 1998, person(s) unknown stole numerous items from
the garage of his home in the 28000 block of Santona Drive.
There was no sign of forced entry.
May 14
Grand Theft (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after
stealing jewelry from a home in the 6200 block of Lochvale
Drive.
Grand Theft (daytime) - Two male suspects stole a lawnmower
and weed cutter from a vehicle in the 6700 block of
Abbottswood Drive. The suspects fled in a white van.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried a
door open and ransacked a home in the 26700 block of
Hawkhurst Drive. It was unknown at the time of this report
if anything was taken.
May 15
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window
of a car in the 28500 block of Meadowmist Drive. It was
unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window
and stole a cellular phone from a car in the 5500 block of
Mistridge Drive.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - Three male suspects punched
and kicked a male victim in the 28900 block of Western
Avenue. One suspect was arrested short time later.
May 16
Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window of a home in the 3200 block of La Rotunda Drive.
Nothing appeared to have been taken.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window and stole a cellular phone and CD's from a car on
Crestwind Drive.
