Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one commercial burglary, one attempted
residential burglary, three grand thefts, and two acts of
vandalism.

April 27
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between April 4 and
April 18, 1998, Person(s) unknown stole a handgun from a home
in the 1900 block of Homeworth Drive. There was no sign of
forced entry.
Grand Theft - A male suspect was arrested after he stole a
camera from a school in the 30800 block of Palos Verdes Drive
East during the previous week.
Attempted Residential Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown
broke a window in an attempt to enter a home in the 5500
block of Seaside Heights Drive.
April 29
Grand Theft - The victim reported that on April 8, person(s)
unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 27900 block of
Ridgegate Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Commercial Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect pried a door
open and stole cigarettes from a business in the 31200 block
of Palos Verdes Drive West.
