CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one strong-armed robbery, one attempted
strong-armed robbery, three residential burglaries, one
attempted school burglary, one felonious assault, one
grand theft, auto, two grand thefts, two petty thefts, and
four acts of vandalism.

April 19
Attempted School Burglary (daytime) - Four male suspects were
arrested after attempting to enter a school building in the
28000 block of Montereina Drive.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole
diving equipment from an unlocked garage in the 24900 block
of Indian Valley Road.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect attempted to
strike a male victim with a bottle in a store in the 28000
block of Hawthorne Boulevard. The suspect then fled in a
blue car.
April 20
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between April 3 and
April 20, 1998, person(s) unknown stole auto parts from a car
in a garage in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.
April 21
Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1995 Mazda Miata was stolen
from Narcissa Drive. A male suspect was arrested a short
distance away.
April 22
Grand Theft (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after
stealing a ring from a home in the 2200 block of Sunnyside
Ridge Road.
Attempted Strong-armed Robbery (nighttime) - Two male
suspects kicked an employee of a store in the 29100 block of
Western Avenue in an attempt to steal beer.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) forced a window
open and stole numerous items from a home in the 63000 block
of Villa Rosa Drive.
April 24
Strong-armed Robbery (daytime) - A female suspect was
arrested after using physical force to get away after
stealing numerous items from a store in the 28500 block of
Western Avenue.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window and stole electronic equipment and U.S. currency from
a home in the 4600 block of Browndeer Lane.
