CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included two commercial burglaries, three residential

burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, one other structure

burglary, one attempted other structure burglary, two grand

thefts, one petty thefts, and five acts of vandalism.

April 12

 

Attempted Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s)

unknown damaged a door in an attempt to enter a detached

garage of a home on Rockinghorse Road.

 

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a radio and

a navigational device from an unlocked car in a driveway on

Stirrup Road.

 

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole marine

navigational equipment from a boat in a driveway in the 2400

block of Colt Road.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole steam

cleaner and a computer printer from a home in the 28000 block

of Montereina Drive. Entry was made through an unlocked door.

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

numerous items from a locked pickup in a driveway in the 2400

block of Colt Road.

 

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a

radio from a locked car in the driveway in the 2600 block of

Colt Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

 

April 14

 

Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

stole a cellular phone from an unlocked car in a detached

garage in the 4800 block of Elkridge Drive.

 

April 16

 

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and entered a business in the 7000 block of Los Verdes

Drive. It was unknown if anything was stolen at the time of

this report.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) forced a door open

and stole jewelry, U.S. currency, and a VCR from a home in

the 28000 block of Avenida Cuaderno.

 

April 17

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown entered a

home in the 30100 block of Avenida Tranquila and ransacked

numerous rooms. There was no sign of forced entry and it was

unknown at the time of this report if anything was taken.

 

April 18

 

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect damaged two

air vents and was seen by an employee inside a store in the

28900 block of Western Avenue after business hours. The

suspect fled prior to deputies arrival and nothing appeared

to have been taken.
