CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one armed robbery, two attempted residential

burglaries, one commercial burglary, one felonious assault,

one grand theft, auto, one grand theft, and two acts of

vandalism.

 

 

ARRESTS

 

None

 

 

April 6

 

Commercial Burglary (weekend) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and stole a cash box containing U.S. currency from a

business in the 28900 block of Northbay Road.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s)unknown

damaged a door lock in an attempt to enter a home in the

26700 block of Nokomis Road.

 

Grand Theft, Auto (daytime) - A 1993 Honda Civic was stolen a

driveway in the 26700 block of Shorewood Drive.

 

Attempted Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown

damaged a garage door in an attempt to enter a home in the

27100 block of Shorewood Road.

 

April 7

 

Felonious Assault (evening) - A male suspect in a car

attempted to hit two female victims while they were crossing

the street in the 6200 block of Ridgegate Drive. The suspect

stopped, car exited his car, and punched a male victim

numerous times.

 

April 8

 

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole two

cellular phones and a pager from an unlocked van on Santa

Catalina Drive.

 

April 11

 

Armed Robbery (daytime) - A female suspect, attempting to

exit a store in the 28500 block of Western Avenue, sprayed an

employee with a caustic chemical as he attempted to stop her

from exiting the store with items she had not paid for.
