CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one commercial burglary, five residential

burglaries, two vehicle burglaries, two felonious assaults,

one act of arson, and one act of vandalism.

March 9

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a

cellular phone from a locked car in the 32600 block of

Seagate Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

March 10

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and entered a home in the 4800 block of Blackhorse

Drive. It was unknown at the time of this report if anything

was taken.

 

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

U.S. currency from a home in the 6400 block of Via Colinita.

There was no sign of forced entry.

 

March 11

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown climbed

through an open window and ransacked a home in the 27400

block of Longhill Drive. It was unknown at the time of this

report if anything was stolen.

 

March 12

 

Arson (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown started a fire in the

bed of a pickup in a parking lot in the 28100 block of

Peacock Ridge Road.

 

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect hit a male

victim in the face with a bottle at a party at a home in the

30500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West.

 

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown struck a

male victim on the head with a bottle at a party at a home in

the 30500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West.

 

March 13

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried open

a door of a storage compartment in the garage of a complex in

the 3200 block of La Rotunda Drive. It was unknown at the

time of this report if anything was taken.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window and ransacked a home in the 26700 block of Basswood

Avenue. It was unknown at the time of this report if

anything was taken.

 

March 14

 

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole

U.S. currency from a business in the 28900 block of Western

Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a

cellular phone, a wallet, and a CD player from a locked

vehicle in a parking lot in the 6600 block of Palos Verdes

Drive South.
