Weekly Activity Report, February 1- February 7, 1998
 

CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included six residential burglaries, one vehicle

burglary, one attempted vehicle burglary, three grand thefts,

auto, three grand thefts, one petty theft, four thefts of

U.S. mail, and three acts of vandalism.

 

ARRESTS

February 2

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced a

door open and ransacked a home in the 26900 block of Circle

Verde Drive. It was unknown if anything was stolen at the

time of this report.

February 3

Grand Theft - The victim reported that between December 9 and

December 29, 1997, person(s) unknown stole checks from her

home in the 6700 block of Crest Road. There was no sign of

forced entry.

February 4

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a

watch and U.S. currency from a condominium in the 3200 block

of La Rotunda Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - The victim returned to her

home in the 6500 block of Oceancrest Drive and found her door

open. It was unknown if anything was taken.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown ransacked

a home in the 27100 block of Grayslake Road and stole U.S.

currency and coins. Entry was made through a rear window.

February 5

Grand Theft, Auto - A 1971 Volkswagon was stolen from

Mustang Road.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole

jewelry and sunglasses from an apartment in the 32600 block

of Nantasket Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Grand Theft, Auto - A 1998 Oldsmobile Bravada was stolen from

the 30500 block of Calle De Suenos.

Attempted Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown

broke a doorlock in an attempt to enter a vehicle in the 6700

block of Los Verdes Drive.

Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole carpet

cleaning equipment and a trailer from a parking structure in

the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous

items from an unlocked truck in the 30100 block of Avenida

Celestial.

 

February 6

Grand Theft, Auto - A 1996 Acura Integra was stolen from

Mustang Road.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown removed a

window and entered a home in the 27100 block of Woodbrook

Drive. It was unknown if anything was stolen at the time of

this report.

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Two male suspects broke a

window of a car at Via Colinita and Maine Road. The victim

saw two male suspects walking in the area. Nothing appeared

to have been taken from the vehicle.
