CRIME SUMMARY

 

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos

Verdes included one commercial burglary, three residential

burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one felonious assault,

three grand thefts, auto, two petty thefts, and two acts of

vandalism.

 

 

ARRESTS

 

Vehicle Laws - 3 Drunk Driving - 1

 

 

January 25

 

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a

window of a vehicle in the 2500 block of Colt Road and stole

numerous items including a handgun.

 

Grand Theft, Auto (nighttime) - A 1989 Ford Taurus was stolen

from the 2000 block of Galerita Drive.

 

January 26

 

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

numerous items from a business in the 27700 block of

Hawthorne Boulevard. Entry was gained by removing a lock

from a door.

 

Residential Burglary - The victim reported that between

February 1, 1997 and January 26, 1998, person(s) unknown

stole jewelry from her home in the 4900 block of Delacroix

Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

 

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - Three male suspects rammed

the vehicle of a male victim in the 3200 block of La Rotunda

Drive.

 

January 29

 

Grand Theft, Auto - A 1968 Ford Mustang was stolen from the

30100 block of Via Victoria.

 

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole

numerous items, including a rifle, from a condominium in the

3200 block of La Rotunda Drive. Entry was apparently made

through an open window.

 

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown a computer

video game from a home in the 2100 Block of Summerland

Street. Entry was gained by breaking a rear door.

 

January 31

 

Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1986 Cadillac Sedan De

Ville was stolen from the 28600 block of Vista Madera.
