CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one attempted commercial burglary, four
residential burglaries, one felonious assault, one grand
theft, auto, two grand thefts, and six acts of vandalism.

Vehicle Laws - 2 Felonious Assault - 1
January 18
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown forced
open the rear door of a home in the 6500 block of Via
Lorenzo. It was unknown at the time of this report if
anything was stolen.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke the
glass of a sliding door and stole jewelry from a home in the
3900 block of Dauntless Drive.
January 19
Attempted Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown
attempted to force open a door of a business on Miraleste
Plaza.
Grand Theft, Auto - A 1985 Chevrolet Blazer was stolen from
the 30100 block of Via Victoria.
January 20
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole
jewelry from a home in the 27100 block of Fond Du Lac Road.
There was no sign of forced entry.
January 21
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested
for hitting a male victim in the face with a glass during an
altercation in a bar in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.
January 23
Grand Theft - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry and a checkbook
from an apartment in the 5900 block of Armaga Springs Road.
There was no sign of forced entry.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole
jewelry and U.S. currency from a home in the 27100 Block of
Fond Du Lac Road. There was no sign of forced entry.
January 24
Grand Theft - The victim reported that between January 1 and
January 24, 1998, person(s) unknown stole a handgun from a
home in the 6500 block of Abbottswood Drive. There was
no sign of forced entry.
