CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos
Verdes included one attempted residential burglary, one
school burglary, four vehicle burglaries, one felonious
assault, one grand theft, auto, one attempted grand theft,
auto, one grand theft, two petty thefts, one mail theft, and
eight acts of vandalism.
ARRESTS
Vehicle Laws - 2 Felonious Assault - 1
January 12
School Burglary - The informant reported that during the
Christmas break person(s) unknown forced a window open and
stole numerous items from the school in the 28000 block of
Montereina Drive.
January 13
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried the
door lock and stole a man's wallet from a car in the 4100
block of Lorraine Road.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried the
door lock and stole a car stereo and a backpack from a car in
the 4100 block of Lorraine Road.
Grand Theft (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole electronic
equipment and a weed cutter from a home in the 4300 block of
Miraleste Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
January 14
Attempted Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - Person(s) unknown
damaged the ignition of a utility vehicle in the 30600 block
of Ganado Drive in an attempt to steal it.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a
window and stole a cellular phone, a car stereo, and a CD
player from a vehicle in the 6500 block of Via Lorenzo.
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut the
convertible top of a car in the 6500 block of Via Lorenzo and
stole a car stereo and hubcaps.
Grand Theft, Auto (overnight) - A 1993 Honda Accord was
stolen from the 32700 block of Coastsite Drive.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A female suspect was arrested
after striking a male victim with a flashlight numerous in
the 2700 block of Vista Mesa Drive.
January 17
Attempted Residential Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown
broke a rear window in an attempt to enter a home in the
26900 block of Circle Verde Drive. The suspect(s) were
scared off by an audible alarm.
