CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one strong-armed robbery, three commercial burglaries, four residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one grand theft, three petty thefts and two acts of vandalism.

December 26

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged a doorknob and entered the residential garage of a home in the 4200 block of Dauntless Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a window open and stole numerous items from a home in the 2000 block of Toscanini Drive.

December 27

Commercial Burglary - A victim reported that between December 24th and December 27th, person(s) unknown damaged a door lock and frame and entered a trailer office at a construction site in the 2900 block of Vista Del Mar. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

December 28

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between December 22nd and December 27th, person(s) unknown stole the entry lights from the gate of a home in the 30400 block of Diamonte Lane.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a woman's purse from a car in a parking lot in the 1700 block of Westmont Drive.

December 29

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown pried a door open and stole a cash register containing U.S. currency from a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from an unlocked car in a residential garage in the 6300 block of Ridgegate Court. There was no sign of forced entry to the garage.

Strong-armed Robbery (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after using physical force to steal numerous food products from a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue.

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after trying to exchange a stolen item for cash at a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue.

December 31

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between December 24th and December 27th, person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a home under construction in the 7400 block of Alida Place. There was no sign of forced entry.
