CRIME SUMMARY
Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included four residential burglaries, one attempt residential burglary, one vehicle burglary, one attempt grand theft (auto), one grand theft, one petty theft, one mail theft and four acts of vandalism.

December 19
Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a video camera from an unlocked van in the 5200 block of Ironwood Street.
December 21
Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown damaged a steering column in an attempt to steal a car in the 28700 block of Mount Vancouver Court. There was no sign of forced entry.
December 23
Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a car in the 3400 block of Newridge Drive.
December 25
Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown removed a screen, climbed in an open window, and stole numerous items from a home in the 30500 block of Via La Cresta.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Two male subjects and one female stole numerous toys from the garage of a home in the 5400 block of Whitefox Drive. The three subjects were detained a short time later and all items were recovered.
Attempt Residential Burglary (evening) - Person(s) unknown damaged a screen door in an attempt to enter a home in the 6500 block of Via Colinita.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a home in the 28300 block of Ridgethorne Court. Entry was apparently gained through an unlocked door.
Residential Burglary (daytime) - Two male suspects forced a door open and entered an apartment in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Road. Both suspects fled when the victim returned home.
