CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one strong-armed robbery, two residential burglaries, three vehicle burglaries, one attempt grand theft (auto), two grand thefts (auto), one grand theft, three petty thefts and four acts of vandalism.

October 24

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a cellular phone and two organizers from a locked car in the 500 block of Sunnyside Ridge Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between October 19 and October 23, Person(s) unknown stole a ring from a home on Spindrift Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

October 27

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a sliding glass door and stole a ring and ransacked numerous rooms of a home in the 29100 block of Oceanridge Drive.

Attempt Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - Person(s) unknown cut a hole in a sun roof and damaged the ignition of a car, in an attempt to steal the vehicle from a garage in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.

October 28

Grand Theft (auto) (overnight) - A 1986 Toyota Cressida was stolen from a driveway in the 28700 block of Mount Sawtooth Drive.

Grand Theft (auto) (nighttime) - A 1990 Chevrolet pickup was stolen from a parking lot in the 28300 block of Western Avenue.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a car in a parking lot in the 7000 block of Los Verdes Drive.

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a lap top computer, a camera and a cellular phone from a car in a parking lot in the 7000 block of Los Verdes Drive.

October 29

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from an open garage in the 7200 block of Rue Godbout.

October 30

Strong-armed Robbery (daytime) - Two male suspects punched and kicked a male victim and stole a cellular phone and jewelry from him in a parking lot in the 29000 block of Western Avenue.
