CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one commercial burglary, two residential burglaries, three vehicle burglaries, and one attempt grand theft (auto).

October 17

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a cellular phone from a locked car in the 28100 block of Peacock Ridge Drive. There were no signs of forced entry.

October 18

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole two bicycles from a from a garage of a home in the 29100 block of Covecrest Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Commercial Burglary (evening) - A male suspect was arrested after stealing numerous items from a supermarket in the 28500 block of Western Avenue.

October 19

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a car stereo from a locked car in the 5900 block of Peacock Ridge Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

October 20

Attempt Grand Theft (Auto) - Person(s) unknown damaged the steering column of a Pontiac Fiero in an attempt to steal the vehicle in the 1700 block of Toscanini Drive.

October 21

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a car in the 32400 block of Conqueror Drive

October 23

Residential Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect removed a screen from an open garage window and stole electronic equipment from a home in the 6500 block of Verde Ridge Drive. The suspect was scared off when the resident woke up.
