CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included three commercial burglaries, one attempt residential burglary, two residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, one felonious assault, two grand thefts(auto), two petty thefts and three acts of vandalism.

October 4

Residential Burglary (morning) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a home in the 2000 block of Avenida Aprenda and ransacked the home. It was unknown at the time of this report if anything was stolen.

Commercial Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of October 1st and October 4th, person(s) unknown broke the pad lock on the door of a store in the 29500 block of Western Avenue and stole numerous items.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested when he threatened a victim with a knife in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Road.

October 6

Attempt Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown pried open a window screen in an attempt to gain entry into a home in the 6700 block of Crest Road.

October 7

Grand Theft (Auto) (morning) - A 1991 Honda Accord was stolen from a parking lot in the 1800 block of Caddington Drive.

October 7

Grand Theft (Auto) (daytime) - A 1992 Toyota Camry was stolen from a driveway in the 2100 block of Summerland Street.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from a home in the 7000 block of Grovespring Drive. There were no signs of forced entry.

Commercial Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown broke a padlock on a locker in a business in the 28900 block of Western Avenue and stole several items.

October 9

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole several items from two locked vehicles in the 30600 block of Tarapaca Road. There were no signs of forced entry.

Commercial Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a business on Miraleste Place. There were no signs of forced entry.
