CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one armed robbery, four residential burglaries, one grand theft auto, two petty thefts, and one act of vandalism.

June 7

Armed Robbery (daytime) - A male suspect simulated a handgun and forced a male employee of a business in the 28900 of Western Avenue to give him U.S. currency.

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between May 31st and June 2, 1999, person(s) unknown stole a toolbox from a garage in the 2300 block of Sparta Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown removed a screen and reached in an open window of a home in the 30400 block of Miraleste Drive. Nothing appeared to have been taken.

June 9

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole electronic equipment from a home in the 28100 block of Ridgefern Court. There was no sign of forced entry.

June 10

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown forced a door open and stole numerous items from the garage of a home in the 2100 block of Mendon Drive.

June 11

Grand Theft Auto (overnight) - A 1989 Buick Park Avenue was stolen from a parking lot in the 32600 block of Coastsite Drive.
