Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included one commercial burglary, one residential burglary, four vehicle burglaries, one other structure burglary, two felonious assaults, two grand thefts, three petty thefts and one act of vandalism.

January 3
Felonious Assault (morning) - A male suspect was arrested after he punched and choked a female victim during an argument in the 2400 block of Rue Le Charlene.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed the window of a car in the 29300 block of Palos Verdes Drive East and stole several items.
Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after he struck a victim on the head with a rock in the 32600 block of Nantasket Drive.
January 4
Residential Burglary - A victim reports that between the dates of December 27th,1998 and January 4th,1999, person(s) unknown broke a window of a home on Amber Sky Drive and stole several items.
January 5
Other Structure Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole the wheels off a car in a parking structure in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed a window of a car in the 31500 block of Palos Verdes Drive West and stole a purse.
Commercial Burglary (daytime) - A male suspect was arrested after stealing several items from a store in the 28500 block of Western Avenue.
January 6
Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole U.S. currency from an office in the 29600 block of Western Avenue. There was no sign of forced entry.
January 7
Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole jewelry from a home in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown smashed a window of a car in the 27500 block of Western Avenue and stole a purse.
January 8
Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a purse from a locked car in a parking lot in the 29200 block of Hawthorne Boulevard. There was no sign of forced entry
