Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included two attempt residential burglaries, three vehicle burglaries, one felonious assault, three grand thefts, one mail theft, four petty thefts and three acts of vandalism.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole numerous items from a car in a carport in the 6700 block of Los Verdes Drive.

Attempt Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown attempted to pry a door open on a house in the 2900 block of Vista Del Mar.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male suspect was arrested after attempting to run his vehicle into two patrol cars and then fleeing in an attempt to escape. The incident occurred in the 1900 block of Homeworth Drive.

Attempt Residential Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown removed a window screen and attempted to pry open the window a home in the 29100 block of Warnick Road.

January 1

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole two bicycles, a lock and a cable from a carport in the 6700 block of Los Verdes Drive.

January 2

Grand Theft - A victim reported that between November 1st - 22nd ,2000, person(s) unknown stole jewelry from her home in the 5400 block of Diversey Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Vehicle Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and stole a woman's purse from a car in the 2000 block of Avenida Feliciano.

Vehicle Burglary (nighttime) - Person(s) unknown stole a house key from a locked car in the 28700 block of Mount Langley Court. There was no sign of forced entry.

January 6

Grand Theft (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous vehicle parts from a car in a subterranean garage in the 5900 block of Armaga Springs Road.
