CRIME SUMMARY

Crimes reported this past week in the City of Rancho Palos Verdes included five residential burglaries, one vehicle burglary, three felonious assaults, two grand thefts, three petty thefts and four acts of vandalism.

September 17

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole a bicycle from an unlocked garage of a home in the 7000 block of Purple Ridge Drive.

September 19

Grand Theft (daytime) - A victim reported that on September 7th, person(s) unknown stole her wallet from an open business in the 28300 block of Western Avenue.

Grand Theft (daytime) - A victim reported that between September 3rd - 5th, person(s) unknown stole U.S. currency from a home in the 29400 block of Indian Valley Road. There was no sign of forced entry.

September 20

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole a garage door opener and U.S. currency from an unlocked car in an apartment garage in the 5700 block of Ravenspur Drive.

Residential Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from a condominium in the 5600 block of Ravenspur Drive. There was no sign of forced entry.

Residential Burglary - A victim reported that between August 20th - September 15th, person(s) unknown stole a cellular phone from her unlocked car in the unlocked garage of her home in the 28400 block of Plainfield Drive

September 21

Vehicle Burglary (daytime) - Person(s) unknown broke a window and attempted to steal a car stereo from a car in the 27100 block of Silver Spur Road.

September 23

Residential Burglary (overnight) - Person(s) unknown stole numerous items from an unlocked garage of a home on Vista Verde Drive.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - The rear window of a car was shot out by a pellet gun as it traveled southbound in the 29600 block of Western Avenue.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - A male victim was shot at with a pellet gun as he walked in the 29600 block of Western Avenue.

Felonious Assault (nighttime) - The rear window of a car was shot out by a pellet gun as it traveled southbound in the 29600 block of Western Avenue.

Note: A male subject turned himself in at Lomita Sheriff's Station on Sunday morning for the three assaults with a BB gun that occurred on Western Avenue.
